What is Plastic Blasting?

What You Need to Know About Plastic Blasting.

Plastic Media Blasting (PMB) is a technique for the efficient removal of paint and other materials without toxic chemical strippers, sandblasting, or hand or mechanical abrasion methods. It also leaves no harmful coatings or residue like soda blasting or chemical stripping. Although similar in principle and process to sandblasting, plastic blasting does not use harsh abrasives or high pressures. PMB is used at a blast pressure of 7-40 lbs. depending on the substrate and due to its gentle nature and low pressure; chrome, glass, rubber, and wiring are all safe using this method.

Plastic media blasting technology has been in use since the late seventies, initially in the aviation industry, since then it has been proven cost effective to remove coating from metal, *aluminum, fibreglass, steel, brass, pot metal, cast, hardwood and many other materials in various industries. Even powder coatings can be removed with PMB.
